Microsoft had a fantastic year with their backward compatible service, which continuous this week with new free games coming out for Xbox One consoles.
Xbox One backward compatibility program grew and grew in 2016 and it was launched on November 2015.
The service now has accumulated more than 300 games on it's list.
According to Xbox officials players have spent more that 265 million hours playing Xbox 360 games on their Xbox One consoles in 2016.
Despite several AAA released through out 2016, some of the years most notable announcements came from Xbox revealing more and more backwards compatible games ready to play on Xbox One.
Games like Red Dead Redemption, the Bioshock trilogy, the Mass Effect trilogy, The Elder Scrolls 4:Oblivion and many other games.
And we have a promise of more backward compatible games coming out this month starting from next week.
On Twitter the head of Xbox Phil Spencer said "January looks pretty good for backward compatibility" when he was asked by a fan about any teasers about what we can expect about the future of the service.
If you already own 300+ backward compatible games they should already appear in your Xbox One game library.
However if you don't already own any backward compatible games there's still hope for you.
All you have to do is head over to Xbox 360 backwards compatible section on the Xbox store, making it easier than ever search and download this classics directly on your Xbox One.

DICE Gives Details Of Battlefield 1 Custom Games And Other Updates!
In a blog post DICE finally shared some details of some updates for Battlefield 1. They started of with revealing the brand new Custom Game, Bleed Out, which will be arriving on January 18. This game is an alternative version of Rush where downed soldiers will die much faster. Also there's no health regeneration. This is just the latest new Custom Game for Battlefield 1, as DICE releases new regularly since the launch of Battlefield 1.
A new update will be released in February. Dice is saving any kind of specifics for later, but they teased us with that there will be "gameplay improvements" that are derived from it's own testing and the fans feedback. The studio previously discussed a long list of features that could come to the game's rented servers, though it still remains to be seen if these are the features that may be addressed in the February update.
Battlefield 1 has already received a ton of updates. They've added map changes, weapon and item balance and a free DLC map called Giant's Shadow.
Lastly DICE has reminded their fans about Battlefield one's "They Shall Not Pass" DLC expansion. All that we know by far for this DLC is that is coming out some time this March and it will and four new maps and it evolves the French army, but the studio has kept quit on what else might be coming.

2016 Steam Awards Winners
For the first time on steam awards were given to the games picked by fans in each category. There were 12 awards that were given to 12 different games. In each category there were 5 games which from players were aloud to choose their favorite game.
The winners are:
1. In the first category which is " Villain Most In Need Of A Hug" , from the five games that were given the fans chose PORTAL 2.
2. The second category was: "I Thought This Game Was Cool Before It Won An Award" and from the five games the winner was EURO TRUCK SIMULATOR 2.
3.The third category was: "Test Of Time" and from the five games nominated the chosen winner was
SKYRIM THE ELDER SCROLLS 5.
4.The fourth category was: "Just 5 More Minutes" and from the five nominees the winner was Cs:Go.
5. The fifth category was: "Whoooaaaaaaa, dude!" and here the lucky winner from the five was GTA5.
6. The sixth category was: "A Game Within A Game" as the same category before the winner is
GTA 5.
7. The seventh category was: "I'm Not Crying, There's Something In My Eye" here the winner from the five nominated games and my favorite apocalypse game was THE WALKING DEAD.
8. The eight category was: "The Best Use Of Farm Animal" and here from all the nominated games the winner was GOAT SIMULATOR which i think actually deserved the award.
9. The ninth category was: "Boom Boom" and the winner here was DOOM.
10. The tenth category was: "Love/Hate Relationship" and the winner here from the five games was DARK SOULS 3.
11. The eleventh category was: "Sit Back And Relax" and here the winner was EURO TRUCK SIMLATOR 2.
12. The last but not least category was: "Better With Friends" and the winner for the last category was LEFT FOR DEAD 2.

The 5 Most Requested Features For Battlefield 1
Battlefield 1 is one of the most played games and has a lot of fans. Last year Battlefield 1 had a huge success and fans can expect more features to come to the game also DICE wants to hear suggestions from fans about features that must be added to the game.
So here are the features:
1. Fans want more weapons added to Battlefield 1
2. Battlepack drop rates might increase this year
3. Battlefield 1 might have even more war stories
Most Battlefield players have already finished the single player war stories. At this point of time players are waiting more war stories to be added in the game. Rumors suggest that this year is a great year for DICE to add new war stories because Battlefield 1 earned a lot of praise in the single player last year.
4. Horse Riders being too powerful are expected to be fixed
Encountering a horse rider in Battlefield 1 is very bad as he can kill you very fast and he is very hard to kill so because of that fans are hoping DICE is going to fix this as possible.
5. Killcam Feature
Killcam is one of the things players are hoping to be added this year. Having a killcam in Battlefield 1 is a great thing as players can see how they killed somebody and maybe show it to their friends and can be even more fun because players will then try to kill their enemies in style.
